Solitair Tablet is manufactured by Blue Cross Laboratories Ltd. Solitair Tablet is a combination of two medicines (Levocetirizine + Montelukast). Solitair Tablet is used in the prevention of asthma. It relaxes and widens the muscles of the airways. and makes breathing easier. It also relieves allergy symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and rashes.
Solitair Tablet Composition
- Montelukast 10mg
- Levocetirizine 5mg
Montelukast is a leukotriene antagonist. It works by blocking the action of the chemical messenger leukotriene. It reduces inflammation in the airways and nose and is also used to treat the symptoms of the seasonal cold.
Levocetirizine is an antihistamine that relieves symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing.
Solitair Tablet Uses
Solitair Tablet is used in the prevention and treatment of these diseases –
- Hay fever (allergic rhinitis)
- COPD (called chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, its symptoms are similar to those of asthma and bronchitis)
Solitair Tablet Dosage
The dosage is prescribed by the doctor based on your age, medical history, and current condition.
Normal dosage– 1 tablet twice a day or as directed by the doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Solitair tablets can be taken before or after food.
Solitair Tablet Side effects
