Gabapin NT 100 Tablet is manufactured by Intas Pharmaceuticals Ltd. It is used to treat neuropathic pain, diabetes, long-lasting (chronic) pain due to nerve damage due to spinal cord injury. It reduces pain and associated symptoms such as mood swings, sleep problems, and fatigue.
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet Composition
- Gabapentin 100mg
- Nortriptyline 10mg
Gabapentin is an alpha 2 delta ligand that reduces pain by modulating the calcium channel activity of nerve cells.
Nortriptyline is a tricyclic antidepressant that increases the levels of chemical messengers (serotonin and noradrenaline) that inhibit the movement of pain signals in the brain. Which relieves neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves).
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet Uses
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet is used for the prevention and treatment of the following diseases –
- Nerve pain
- Neuropathic pain
- Depression
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet Dosage
Dosage:- Take one tablet once a day or as directed by the doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Gabapin NT 100 Tablet can be taken before or after a meal.
Gabapin NT 100 Tablet Side Effects
If your symptoms do not improve after taking it. Or if your condition worsens, consult your doctor immediately.
Common side effects are as follows-
- Constipation
- Difficulty urinating
- Weight gain
- Lethargy
