Descon Tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals Pvt Ltd. Descon Tablet is a contraceptive Tablet. It is a combination of two medicines (Ethinyl Estradiol + Desogestrel). It is used for contraception (to prevent pregnancy) and in the treatment of irregular menstruation. It helps in preventing the release of eggs. Inhibits the fertilization process by reducing the movement of sperms.

Descon Tablet Composition

  • Ethinyl Estradiol 0.03mg
  • Desogestrel 0.15mg

Descon Tablet Uses

Descon Tablet is used in the prevention and treatment of these diseases –

  • Contraception
  • Menstrual problems
  • Lowers the risk of breast cancer

Descon Tablet Dosage

The dosage is prescribed by the doctor based on your age, medical history and current condition.

Normal dosage- 1 tablet once a day for 21 days or as directed by the doctor. Swallow it whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Descon Tablet can be taken before or after food.

Do not take this medicine if you are under 18, or are already pregnant or lactating.

Descon Tablet Side effects

If your symptoms do not improve after taking it. Or if your condition worsens, consult your doctor immediately.

Common side effects are as follows-

  • Abdominal pain

  • Weight gain
  • Breast pain
  • Swelling in the ankles/feet
  • Irregular uterine bleeding
