Asthalin Syrup is manufactured by Cipla Ltd. Asthalin Syrup is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It is used to relieve symptoms of asthma, bronchitis, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) such as coughing, wheezing, and shortness of breath. It is also useful for preventing exercise-induced bronchospasm.
Asthalin Syrup is a bronchodilator. It widens the airway. This makes breathing easier.

Asthalin Syrup is used in the prevention and treatment of these diseases –
- Asthma
- Bronchitis
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
- Asthmatic bronchitis
- Cough
- Wheezing
- Mucus or phlegm
Asthalin Syrup Dosage
The dosage is prescribed by the doctor based on your age, medical history, and current condition.
Normal dosage – adults and children over 12 years old – 4-5 mg 3-4 times/day,
Children aged 6-12 years – 2 mg 3-4 times/day;
children 2-6 years old – 1-2 mg 3 times/day.
Take it on the basis of the doctor’s advice. Asthalin Syrup can be taken before or after a meal.
Asthalin Syrup Side Effects
If your symptoms do not improve after taking it. Or if your condition worsens, consult your doctor immediately.
Common side effects are as follows-
- Headache
- Tremors
- Nervous, restless,
- Increased heart rate
- Bad taste in mouth
- Dry mouth
- Sore throat and cough
- Muscle cramps
